New Leadership in Place at CASBAA

HONG KONG: A new leadership team has been put in place by the CASBAA board of directors, including Christopher Slaughter being appointed CEO designate.

With the appointment of Slaughter, John Medeiros will be promoted to chief policy officer and becomes the senior government relations advisor to the board. Jill Grinda has been appointed as executive VP, focusing on operations and CASBAA’s ad initiatives. Simon Twiston Davies, the current CEO, will remain in place and will work with the new team until December 31.

Slaughter joins CASBAA from a role as the managing director of the Hong Kong production company APV. He previously served as the Asia Pacific head of The Yankee Group.

“The board of directors is delighted with the appointment of Christopher Slaughter and the enhanced roles being taken up by John Medeiros and Jill Grinda,” said Marcel Fenez, the chairman of CASBAA. “The new team’s mandate and combined industry experience bring significant additional capacity to CASBAA and the services it provides to its 130 Members.”
