SYDNEY: Network Ten has appointed Paul Anderson as chief operating officer, in addition to his responsibilities as the company's CFO.

Anderson will be reporting to Hamish McLennan, the executive chairman and CEO of Network Ten. Anderson has been with the company since 2003, having held various senior finance roles during that time. He became CFO in March 2011.

McLennan said: “The strong executive team I have built at Network Ten over the past year will allow the company to address its operational challenges and execute its turnaround strategy. Paul has been a great support to me in my role as chief executive officer and as I take on the additional responsibilities of executive chairman, it is appropriate to expand his role. Paul has been an outstanding contributor to the company, has a deep understanding of our business and is well respected throughout Network Ten and by the board.”

Anderson commented: “I’m delighted to be given these additional responsibilities and this new role. During my 11 years with Network Ten I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with some great people and been given some great opportunities. Hamish and I have worked closely together for the past 13 months. I look forward to expanding on that work and building Network Ten’s ratings, revenue, earnings and returns to shareholders.”
