FOX Sports Asia Renews Masters Rights

HONG KONG: Bolstering its golf coverage, FOX Sports in Asia has renewed its deal for the exclusive cable, satellite, terrestrial and multimedia broadcast rights for the Masters Tournament in 18 countries across the region to 2016.

Coverage of this year's tournament began this week and will feature more than 28 hours of live coverage plus special content. Commentary will be available in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and, for the first time, Thai.

“Our renewal of The Masters Tournament is an affirmation of FOX Sports as the premier destination for sports fans in Asia,” said Rohit D’Silva, the senior VP of content and communication for sports at FOX International Channels Asia.  “We’re focused on delivering the best possible viewing experience and so are pleased to be offering top-tier programming, enhanced overall coverage and in multiple languages for the 2014 Masters, and look forward to continually improve on future editions.”

Beyond the linear feed, there will be additional live and on-demand content on FOX Sports Play.
