LOS ANGELES: Mnet, the U.S. network targeting Asian Americans, is now available 24 hours a day to Verizon FiOS subscribers and is replacing the Soundtrack Channel.

Prior to this, Mnet was available for 10 hours to FiOS subscribers. Programs offered to Verizon FiOS subscribers on Mnet include Hello Pop!, a place for fans of Korean pop music to meet and engage; Short Notice, a prime-time series that features award-winning Asian American short films and talks with the filmmakers; and Culture Japan, which explores Japanese pop cultures and places to visit, among other series the channel is offering.

Adam Ware, the president and CEO of Mnet, said, “We are thrilled that Mnet is now available to the FiOS TV customer base. Asian pop culture is hotter than ever and Verizon’s support is a critical validation of our programming brand and strategy. We are excited to be in business with the Verizon team as we serve fans of Asian pop culture.”

Michelle Webb, the director of content strategy and acquisition at Verizon, added, “Mnet is a great new addition to our multicultural channel lineup, which we continue to expand. We’re excited to offer this Asian pop culture channel to our growing FiOS TV customer base.”
