MediaCorp Bolsters Board of Directors

SINGAPORE: MediaCorp has named Scott Anthony to the company's board of directors, effective October 1.

Anthony currently serves as managing partner of Innosight, a worldwide strategy and innovation consulting agency. He is responsible for venture-capital investing activities. He also chairs the investment committee for IDEAS Ventures, a fund controlled by Innosight and the Singaporean government.

Charles Ormiston, an outgoing board member, announced his resignation over the summer. Current members of the board include Teo Ming Kian, Shaun Seow, Scott Anthony, Chan Heng Kee, Elim Chew, Fang Ai Lian, Venky Krishnakumar, Thomas Ng, Ahmad Nizam and Rajiv Wahi.

Teo Ming Kian, MediaCorp's chairman, remarked: "Charles has served the MediaCorp Board with dedication and distinction for the last 4 years. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I thank him for his contribution and wish him the very best in all his endeavors."

He added: "It is my pleasure to welcome Scott Anthony to the MediaCorp Board. Scott has written extensively about innovation and we look forward to having him share his insights on growth and innovation for the MediaCorp group of companies."
