SINGAPORE: MediaCorp has named Jack Lim, who spent the last six years at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.

Lim will be leading the company's commercial division. He will have oversight for commercial relationships and fulfillment, including ad sales, go-to-market partnerships and creative services. He will be working to develop a marketing strategy that integrates the company's portfolio across platforms such as TV, radio, press, magazines, out-of-home and digital properties. In this capacity, Lim reports to Shaun Seow, the CEO. His appointment is effective September 1.

At Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, Lim was in charge of media and affiliate sales and marketing. Before that, he held regional leadership posts in marketing, brand and communications at global companies GE, IBM and CNBC.

Seow said, “Jack’s appointment is a key move as MediaCorp puts even greater emphasis on creating premium original content across our platforms for our consumers and in parallel, fresh approaches for businesses to reach their customers. Jack is a proven leader and I could not be more pleased to have him on board my senior leadership team at a time when we are accelerating MediaCorp’s growth and transformation to increase our relevance to consumers and partners.”

“There has never been a more exciting time to be a chief commercial officer, and the opportunity is especially exciting in MediaCorp,” said Lim. “MediaCorp has incredible potential to help organizations tell their brand stories in powerful and creative ways, backed by data-driven decisions in a multiscreen environment.”
