Magine Creates Asia Unit, Prepares to Stream in China

STOCKHOLM: Magine is planning to stream live TV to more than 100 million households in China and has established a business unit based in Hong Kong.

The Swedish streaming platform set up the Hong Kong-based Magine Asia unit and entered into an agreement with a Beijing-based digital TV system integrator and operator to build, launch and operate an internet-based video-streaming system for the Chinese market. The deal will see the establishment and operation of an internet platform to offer VOD and linear content to more than 100 million Chinese households.
