JKN Global Media in Thailand has licensed a raft of Channel NewsAsia-produced shows, including the doc series Get Real.

JKN has taken some 300 hours from Mediacorp, including 60 hours of drama, with the rest coming from Channel NewsAsia.

Anne Jakkraphong Jakrajutatip, CEO and managing director of JKN Global Media, noted, “We’re pleased to expand the offering of compelling content to our audiences via this agreement. The partnership will amplify the vibrancy of our flourishing Southeast Asian cultural ecosystem. We hope this is the beginning of a commercially and creatively fulfilling relationship between our two companies.”

Doreen Neo, chief content officer at Mediacorp, added, “We are glad that our documentaries are striking a chord and gaining traction in Southeast Asian markets. This is indicative of the strength of the storytelling in our factual titles, all of which are produced with a uniquely Asian perspective.”
