ITV Studios Global Entertainment Secures Sales in Korea & Japan

ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE), which has extended its exclusive output deal with Korea’s KT Corp, has secured a raft of sales in both Korea and Japan.

Exclusive ITVS GE scripted and non-scripted content totaling 180 hours is available on the KT Corp IPTV platform through the renewed deal. The available titles include dramas such as Vanity Fair, Victoria and Endeavor, and factual titles Life Cycles and Rich Quick.

ITVS GE sales include that of The War of the Worlds to Channel A in Korea, which has also secured Vanity Fair and factual shows Taste of Marley and Schofield’s South African Adventure.

In Japan, WOWOW Plus has acquired dramas Dark Heart and Bancroft, season four of Poldark and season four and the forthcoming season five of Endeavor. Japan’s Tohokushinsha has picked up the third season of Thunderbirds Are Go.

Augustus Dulgaro, executive VP for the Asia Pacific at ITV Studios Global Entertainment and COO at ITV Studios Australia, said: “Our unique pipeline emanating from our 55-plus production labels and esteemed third-party producers sees us delivering the best of British drama, including Endeavour, Vanity Fair and Victoria, through some of the world’s most successful non-English-language content such as Jordskott, Greyzone and Un Village Francais. This extensive global portfolio of high-quality ratings winners really enables ITVS GE to stand out from the crowd. We are delighted that KT Corp is taking advantage of this by extending their output deal, as well as reaching audiences through leading channels in both Korea and Japan.”
