iflix Inks Indonesian Telco Pact, Staffs Up

BALI: OTT service iflix has entered into a partnership with Indonesian telco Indosat Ooredoo and has announced the appointment of David Goldstein as its head of Asia.

Select Indosat Ooredoo premium mobile and fiber broadband customers will receive iflix bundled with their existing services.

“We are delighted to have been chosen by Indosat Ooredoo as part of their ongoing commitment to offer the best and most extensive offering of international, regional and local entertainment content available to their customers in the most flexible and seamless manner,” said Cam Walker, head of iflix Indonesia. “Indosat Ooredoo subscribers will soon be able to binge on shows and movies from iflix’s extraordinary library wherever and whenever they choose.”

“The partnership with iflix marks another important milestone on our journey to become Indonesia’s leading digital telco,” said Dr. Andreas Gregori, chief marketing officer of Indosat Ooredoo.

The OTT service, which recently received an investment from Sky, has tapped David Goldstein as its head of Asia. Goldstein was formerly an advisor to the Asian streaming platform.

“David’s extensive telecom and media experience will be critical to driving and sustaining our rapid growth and maintaining our leadership position,” said Mark Britt, iflix Group’s co-founder and CEO.
