Huayi Brothers’ President to Keynote ATF

SINGAPORE: Asia TV Forum has added another Chinese media heavyweight to its lineup for this December, with James Zhonglei Wang, the president of film and TV producer Huayi Brothers Media Corporation, set to deliver the opening keynote.

Wang's address, “Rising from the East—Huayi Brothers: Crossing Boundaries Going Beyond Entertainment," takes place December 9. He will discuss how Huayi is pursuing international alliances as part of its expansion strategy, which includes taking the company into online gaming, theme parks and online distribution platforms.

“This year has been an exciting year for Huayi Brothers since we were first established in 1994," Wang said. "The response regarding our strategic move on our alliance partnership with our Chinese partners has been encouraging and I look forward to sharing more insights at ATF.”

He joins an agenda that already includes Ma Dong, chief content officer at Baidu’s IQIYI. Other keynote speakers include Alon Shtruzman, CEO of Keshet International, and Tom Beattie, head of animation and children’s programming for Tiger Aspect Productions.

ATF takes place in Singapore from December 9 to 12.
