HBO Asia Moves into Film Production

SINGAPORE: HBO Asia has signed on to co-produce an English-language action-horror feature film, Dead Mine, marking the first time it has produced a movie in the region.

Co-produced with Infinite Studios, Dead Mine, HBO Asia’s first-ever movie in Asia, starts filming today. The feature will be shot entirely in Batam, Indonesia from Infinite’s brand-new studio facility. A theatrical release is on the planner for regional Asian territories, followed by an exclusive TV premiere across the HBO Asia network in 2012.
