FIC & JTBC to Deliver New Sports Channel in Korea

SINGAPORE: FOX International Channels (FIC) and the Korean broadcasting outfit JTBC have collaborated on the launch of a new channel, JTBC3 FOX Sports, in Korea.

JTBC3 FOX Sports will showcase international and local sports programming. As a fully localized service, all programming and presentation will be in Korean. The lineup of sports events set for broadcast includes Bundesliga, Formula One, the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon tennis grand slams.

Zubin Gandevia, the president of FOX International Channels for the Asia Pacific and Middle East, said, “Korea is an important and exciting market for FIC and expanding the FOX Sports brand here is a key step in our continuous efforts to build out our sports business across Asia. The launch of JTBC3 FOX Sports completes our sports brand’s APAC footprint.
