Eleven Sports Takes EURO 2016 Rights

SINGAPORE: Eleven Sports Network has landed live and exclusive coverage of the UEFA EURO 2016 tournament for Singapore.

The channel has picked up a package that includes qualifiers and tournament rights, with up to four live and exclusive matches per day during the group stage.

“UEFA EURO 2016 is one of the most popular and important football competitions in the world and is exactly the type of major event we want to bring to the fans,” says Danny Menken, group managing director of Eleven Sports Network. “These rights mean supporters in Singapore can still get their football-fix outside of the domestic league season.”

“Thanks to the new and extended format, under which a total of 24 teams will be contesting the title for the first time in the history of the competition, UEFA EURO 2016 will be more exciting than ever,’’ noted Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director at UEFA Events SA. “We are pleased to welcome newcomer Eleven Sports Network to the UEFA broadcast family and look forward to working with them to bring UEFA EURO 2016 to football fans in Singapore.”
