Eleven Sports Network Taps Former Singtel Exec

LONDON/SINGAPORE: International media group Eleven Sports Network has appointed Joyee Biswas, formerly of Singtel, as the managing director for Asia, effective today.

In his new role, Biswas will be based in the company’s brand-new office in Singapore and will exercise direct responsibility across all business areas, including affiliate and content distribution, advertising sales, programming, marketing and production for the network’s territories in Asia. He will report to Danny Menken, the company’s group managing director.

Biswas has extensive business leadership experience in broadcast, digital and print media across Asian markets, including India and Singapore. Most recently, Biswas served as the director of sports content and programming at Singtel, where he was responsible for multiple linear and nonlinear channels and platforms. Prior to that, he worked at FOX International Channels and ESPN Star Sports in Singapore. He also has experience in the IT sector.

“Joyee has a wealth of experience across television and digital platforms in Asia and we are delighted to be able to welcome him to the ELEVEN team,” said Menken. “Asia is a strategically important region for us and Joyee will play an integral role in shaping our vision and business plans for the area.”
