CASBAA Announces Speakers & Sessions

HONG KONG: There are executives from Turner International, Scripps Networks, FOX International Channels, GroupM, AMC/Sundance Channel Global and activeTV, among others, taking part in a variety of panel discussions during this year's CASBAA Convention.

Taking place October 21 to 24, the 20th edition celebrates the continually evolving broadcasting industry with the theme Change is ON THE AIR. Appearing as part of this year's convention are John Tsang Chun-wah, the financial secretary of the government of Hong Kong SAR; Sam Branson, the founder and chairman of Sundog Pictures; Jeremy Carr, the VP of entertainment and digital ad sales for the Asia Pacific at Turner International; and Derek Chang, the managing director for Asia at Scripps Networks. Also part of the lineup are, among many others, Brian Lau, the VP of programming for STAR Movies at FOX International Channels (FIC); Jim Ribbans, the executive producer for original content at FIC; Mike Rich, the CEO of content for AsiaPac at GroupM; Courtney Williams, the managing director of business development and strategy for the Asia Pacific at AMC/Sundance Channel Global; and Bertram van Munster, co-director for Asia at activeTV.

Sessions include Talking TV, about trends in television; Formats Asia CASBAA, about program formats; In Conversation: The Digital Tail and the Pay TV Dog, looking at channels and platforms expanding their online delivery; Digitized India; Monetizing OTT; and Women Media Network Breakfast.
