beIN SPORT Asia Takes UEFA EURO 2016 Rights

HONG KONG: beIN SPORT Asia has concluded an agreement for the UEFA EURO 2016 media rights for Hong Kong.

The pact covers all matches for all media platforms and devices in Hong Kong. The championship is due to begin on June 10, 2016; the final matches are scheduled for July 10, 2016. The event will mark the first time that the European Football Championship will be a 24-team tournament, having expanded from a 16-team format.

UEFA EURO 2016 will be featured on beIN SPORT 1, a channel fully dedicated to football, and beIN SPORT 2, a channel that mixes football and other sports.

Nasser Al Khelaifi, the chairman of beIN SPORT Asia, said, "We are extremely excited by the addition of UEFA EURO 2016 to our new channel in Hong Kong. Together with the Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, English Championship and Scottish Premiership, this addition will crown our offer of top European football being broadcasted in Hong Kong.”
