Scripps Hires Three for AsiaPac Team

SINGAPORE: Scripps Networks Interactive has added three executives to its team in the Asia Pacific: Angelica Santa Maria, Carl Zuzarte and Candice Chua.

Zuzarte will lead production and promotions. Zuzarte takes on oversight for the development and production operations in the region, and will lead and execute the company's on-air promotions strategy. Prior to joining Scripps, Zuzarte was senior VP of content and FremantleMedia Asia and managing director of FremantleMedia Indonesia.

Santa Maria will lead advertising sales for the region, working to develop an ad strategy to capitalize on opportunities across the Asia Pacific. Santa Maria joins from A+E Networks Asia Pacific, where she led the execution of the ad sales strategy for the Philippines and Indonesia. She also previously held business development and sales roles at Discovery Networks.

Chua will direct affiliate sales. She will manage relationships with affiliate partners and be responsible for distribution of a three-channel portfolio in the region. Previously, Chua spent more than 10 years in affiliate sales with SPE Networks—Asia and Discovery Networks.

The three execs will all be based in Singapore. Santa Maria will report to Chang, while Zuzarte reports to CheeK, the head of content, creative and marketing. Chua will report to Tomas Petrzela, the VP of affiliate sales.
