BBC Worldwide Asia Adds Four to Senior Team

HONG KONG: BBC Worldwide has made four new senior hires within its Asian business, all of whom will be based in Singapore.

Laura Byrnes becomes the VP and head of business and legal affairs for Asia. She was previously the director of legal and business affairs for NBCUniversal Asia Pacific. She also previously held roles at BSkyB and Turner/Time Warner. Byrnes reports to Robin Chalmers, the director of business and legal affairs for global markets, the U.K. and Australasia.

Laura Roscoe comes on board as HR business partner for Asia. Roscoe was previously at Barclays, where she had been running their Asian employee engagement program. She has worked as an HR business partner in both the U.K. and Asia. Roscoe reports to Sarah Robinson, the head of HR for global markets.

Amit Arora comes into the role of head of business development for Asia and will take on a strategy and business development brief across the region. He joins from Delta Partners, a specialist telecom, media and technology consultancy. He previously worked for Turner Broadcasting and Time Warner Cable in the U.S. Arora reports to Nick Percy, the director of business development and digital for global markets.

James Wildbore joins as VP of finance for Asia and will be responsible for developing and managing Asia finances as well as providing commercial, operational, business developmental and strategic direction for the business. Wildbore is currently executive director of finance for media networks (Southeast Asia) at Disney in Singapore. Wildbore reports to Grant Welland, the finance director for global markets.
