HONG KONG: The CASBAA Convention, taking place October 21 to 24 in Hong Kong, will feature an expanded three-day conference schedule under the theme "Change is On the Air."
“We are looking to shake things up this year for the CASBAA Convention,” said Christopher Slaughter, the CEO of CASBAA. “While the core values of CASBAA remain the same, to inform, represent and connect, we are looking at new and different ways to improve our biggest event of the year. With this year’s theme, not only are we recognizing that our industry is in a constant state of flux, but that CASBAA, too, is changing to meet the needs of our membership.”
There will be three days devoted to conference sessions at the Convention, which is focused on the multichannel business in Asia, with greater emphasis on fostering discussions and networking. There will also be keynote speakers each day, plus a new addition: themed “tracks" focused on content, technology and marketing. Delegates will be able to choose which “track” they wish to attend.
“The watchword for this year’s agenda is flexibility,” added Slaughter. “We have created a schedule that will enable delegates to maximize their time at the Convention to their best advantage, whether attending keynote events, specific tracks in the schedule, networking or seeing what Hong Kong has to offer as a destination.”
Other new elements include exhibition space, informative breakfasts and lunches, networking cocktails and an online delegate matching tool.
