Passion Scores Asia Sales at MIPTV

CANNES: Passion Distribution has secured a number of sales within Asia at MIPTV, including 300 hours of programming to Mediascape Inc.’s channel Colours.

The Mediascape deal consists of programming in the food and property genres such as Scripps Networks International’s 24 Hour Restaurant Battle seasons one and two, Fresh Food Fast with Emeril Lagasse and 5 Ingredient Fix seasons one and two. Also from Scripps are season one of House Crashers, Bath Crashers seasons one, Outdoor Room seasons one, two and three and Man Caves seasons one and two. In addition Eat Street seasons one and two from Paperny Films was licensed, as well as OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network’s Home Takeover: With Simon and Tomas, Addicted to Food and Sun, Sea & Bargain Spotting seasons one and two produced for BBC by Reef Television.

LiTV also bought a package deal for a number of titles, including Sundance Channel’s All On the Line with Joe Zee season two, Scripps’ The Antonio Treatment season two, as well as Cupcake Wars season two and Secrets from a Stylist seasons one and two and an hour-long special. In Korea, Homestory secured both seasons of Secrets from a Stylist, while TCast picked up season two of Sundance Channel’s Love/Lust for its channel Fashion N. In addition, Nippon TV picked up the one-hour documentary Joined for Life: Sweet Sixteen from Figure 8 Films. AETN Asia picked up OWN’s Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind and Murder On the Social Network from True North Productions for Biography Channel.
