CASBAA Gears Up for TV Upfronts in Hong Kong

HONG KONG: Following a successful launch in Singapore late last year, CASBAA has planned a TV Upfronts event to take place in Hong Kong on February 21.

TV Upfronts: The Hong Kong Screenings will be presented in association with Campaign Asia-Pacific. The day-long event will be held at the Palace Cinema at the International Finance Centre in Hong Kong.

“The positive responses received during the Singapore Upfronts reinforced the need for broadcasters to highlight both the regional and local power of multichannel television to agencies and advertisers,” said Marcel Fenez, the chairman of CASBAA.

Sean Rach, the director of regional marketing at Prudential Corporation Asia will be the special guest at the TV Upfronts: The Hong Kong Screenings. Participating networks include A+E Networks, Bloomberg Television, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, FOX International Channels, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Television and Turner Broadcasting System, which will host special screenings of upcoming programming in Hong Kong and throughout the region.

Later in the year, CASBAA and Campaign will team up again for an additional multichannel advertising showcases in Bangkok, Manila and Kuala Lumpur.
