TV5MONDE USA Grows U.S. Reach

MIAMI: The French-language TV5MONDE USA is now fully available in Miami and its surrounding suburbs and Fort Lauderdale via Comcast Cable.

The 24-hour service is available on Channel 697, bringing viewers first-run and classic French-language films, newscasts, sporting events, children’s programming, travel shows, documentaries and more. Most of the prime-time programming is subtitled in English. Among the shows set to air on TV5MONDE USA are Epicerie Fine, a cooking series hosted by Guy Martin; the film Na Wewe, about the civil war in Burundi; 1981, a coming-of-age drama from Ricardo Trogi; and season two of the original series Across America, starring Gérard Klein.
