LONDON: CreaCon Entertainment is launching its flagship children’s show City of Friends on Five’s Milkshake! block in the U.K. tomorrow, with a number of licensing appointments coming alongside the debut.

The new 52×10-minute CGI preschool series has already launched in more than 140 territories around the world. Parthenon Entertainment and Plus Lices are to manage its U.K. and worldwide licensing distribution.

City of Friends, which is on offer at Brand Licensing Europe, follows the adventures of three recruits—police, fire and ambulance services—and looks at how they work together to solve problems and protect a city whose citizens are animals and people living side by side. The show was produced by Action Synthese Studios in France.

Carl Christian Hamre, the creator and CEO of CreaCon Entertainment, commented, “City of Friends began in 2006 as a bedtime story for my, at that time, only son and served as a great way of sharing my experiences and adventures as a policeman in Norway’s state police whilst also providing a chance for me to impart important values from a father to his son. City of Friends is all about teamwork, problem-solving and helping each other out in our local communities. With our best-in-class partners—Milkshake! on Five, Parthenon Entertainment and Plus Licens—we look forward to building and growing an audience for the City of Friends in the U.K.”
