MILAN: Atlantyca Entertainment has signed up China’s 21st Century Publishing House to publish 1 million Geronimo Stilton books that will be promotionally priced to encourage children to read.

21st Century takes on the Chinese-language rights to The Little Book of Nature for distribution to bookstores throughout China. The new book was created to attract Chinese children to visit bookstores, encouraging their love for reading while also teaching them the principles of respect for nature and the environment. Written in the words of mouse-author Geronimo Stilton, 1 million Chinese-language books will be distributed in the country at a value price.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with 21st Century and proud that Geronimo Stilton is leading the charge to encourage young children to read and stimulate their interest in the principles of nature and ecology,” said Claudia Mazzucco, the CEO of Atlantyca.

Zhang Quilin, the president of 21st Century Publishing House, added, “Geronimo Stilton is an endearing character with universal appeal that is certain to capture the attention of young readers and earn their respect for our fragile plane as they learn the importance of caring for and protecting the environment. As part of this special program, we will enlist the support of teachers through a special publication about Geronimo Stilton that will be sent to 20,000 schools.”
