TV Land to Air New Original Series

NEW YORK, March 26: TV Land
is set to premiere a six-episode reality series, The Big 4-0, which features real people celebrating their 40th
birthdays, on April 16 at 10 p.m.

The series, which will
debut with back-to-back episodes, looks at real people doing big things to
celebrate turning 40—from a former NFL player who’s out to prove he can
still compete to a wheelchair-bound man who aspires to parachute. The Big
4-0
is produced for TV Land by
J.D. Roth and Todd A. Nelson for 3 Ball Productions (Beauty and the Geek and The Biggest Loser) and executive produced by Keith Cox.

Also for The Big 4-0, visitors can go online to TVLand.com to watch
bonus and extended scenes from each episode, full episodes the day after they
air and catch sneak peeks of upcoming episodes. There is a photo library and
message boards online as well.

"The Big 4-0 provides TV Land's audience with positive stories
of real people celebrating this milestone and embracing this new stage of life
in unexpected and sometimes amazing ways," said Larry W. Jones, the
president of TV Land. "The experience of planning this event is something
that is not only entertaining but also relatable and truly speaks to an
underserved audience of people in their 40s and 50s."
