TV Guide Network’s VOD Service Rebrands

LOS ANGELES, April 22: TV
Guide Network has rebranded its ad-supported video-on-demand service, TV Guide
SPOT, as TV Guide Network On Demand, and will ramp up its slate of original
programming.

The company believes that
the new name better reflects the offerings of the VOD service, which provides
more than 32 million digital cable viewers with entertainment-focused original
content and highlights of the most popular programming from TV Guide Network.

TV Guide Network On Demand
will deliver more programming from the heart of Hollywood with a focus on
entertainment news, celebrity interviews and behind-the-scenes access to the
biggest shows and stars on television. The service will offer an increased
volume of content delivered to the network’s distribution partners on a weekly
basis with an extra hour each week. TV Guide Network On Demand is distributed
through Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Bright House, Charter Communications, Cox
Communications, Cablevision, Mediacom, Insight and Verizon, among others.

Additionally, TV Guide
Network On Demand is developing original content and acquiring programming in
order to appeal to a wider audience base. In May 2008, TV Guide Network On
Demand will offer minisodes of Making News: This Just In, an original follow-up mini-season to TV Guide
Network’s hit docu-reality series Making News: Texas Style. TV Guide Network On Demand has also ordered an
original comedy from popular Internet musical comedians Rhett & Link, which
will feature their unique comedic look and spoofs of the popular series Hannah
Montana
and Lost.

“Rebranding our on-demand
network will help TV fans find the Hollywood news and behind-the-scenes content
they love more easily in their VOD channel lineups,” said Dmitri Ponomarev, the
VP of TV Guide On Demand. “This is the perfect time to make this change as we
are now increasing the volume of our original programming.”
