TV Guide Network to Introduce Curb Your Enthusiasm Extras

LOS ANGELES: TV Guide Network and Curb Your Enthusiasm show creator Larry David are to launch exclusive, never-before-seen extras that will air in conjunction with the series’ run on the channel starting this summer.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Discussion will be hosted by series regular Susie Essman and will feature a panel of high-profile guest stars, media pundits and prominent social figure who will debate moral implications featured in each episode. Curb Your Enthusiasm is to make its basic cable debut on TV Guide Network on June 2. Scott Carter, executive producer of Real Time with Bill Maher and Politically Incorrect, will work in collaboration with David to develop and produce the extras. Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Discussion will air immediately following each episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and will run approximately seven to eight minutes in length each.

Larry David said, "Finally, thanks to the TV Guide Network, I’ll get a chance to watch actual, intelligent people discuss and debate the issues addressed on Curb. Now if only someone could tell me where this alleged ‘network’ is, I might even watch it."

Susie Essman further commented, “Thanks to Larry, I am on a first name basis with the premium cable audience. And now with TV Guide Network’s series run of Curb Your Enthusiasm, I’ll get to be on a first name basis with the basic cable audience, which let’s face it, is much, much bigger. My goal is to make this the best seven minute panel show on TV.”

“We are honored and thrilled to be working with Larry David and Scott Carter to create a series of original extras that will undoubtedly engage both new and long-time fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm,” added Diane Robina, the executive VP of programming and marketing for TV Guide Network. “Their hands-on involvement will ensure that the extras are carefully crafted and set the appropriate tone for a show as brilliant as Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
