TV Azteca Net Income Increases 16 Percent

MEXICO CITY, October 26: TV Azteca has announced its third
quarter results, with revenues up 7 percent to Ps.
2,342 million ($218.4 million) and profit up 16 percent to Ps. 487 ($45.4
million).

“We achieved outstanding revenue
as a result of the optimal commercialization of our programming grids in
Mexico, together with the continuous sales dynamism in the U.S. Hispanic
market,” said Mario San Román, the CEO of TV Azteca. “Substantial expense
reductions, as a result of operating efficiencies, contributed to increase
EBITDA, profitability and our net income to superior levels.”

Revenue growth was driven in part
by Azteca America, which posted revenues of Ps. 125 million ($11.7
million), a 33 percent gain. Also posting a gain was revenues from programming
exports, which were up 9 percent to Ps. 12 million ($1.1 million)
