Turner Licenses truTV Content into Korea

HONG KONG: Turner Content Solutions has sold more than 100 hours of truTV content to the Korean cable channel KMH, including Smoking Gun Presents and Body of Evidence.

The slate acquired by the Korean network also includes World’s Wildest Vacation Videos and Speeders. The deal comes on the heels of the Asian rollout of truTV, which is offered in Singapore, Indonesia, Maldives, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Ringo Chan, senior VP of Turner Content Solutions, commented, “This deal with KMH further demonstrates that truTV is a popular source for syndicated content as its real-life viewing enjoys very broad appeal. truTV has been building a strong fan-base in Southeast Asia and we are pleased that our programming is able to expand beyond the channel for the benefit of viewers in other regions, such as North Asia. We expect the truTV series will be met with equal success as they have in other markets around the world.”

Turner Content Solutions will be showcasing truTV content at its new stand in Cannes. It will also be delivering lifestyle and entertainment programs from its Korean joint-venture channel QTV and its Japanese networks Tabi and MondoTV.
