truTV Orders New Seasons of I’m Sorry & Tacoma FD

truTV has renewed the scripted comedy series I’m Sorry and Tacoma FD, picking them up for third and second seasons, respectively.

From creator and star Andrea Savage (Veep, Episodes), I’m Sorry follows a confident comedy writer, wife and mom (Savage), with an inner immaturity and neuroses that are exposed through unexpected life situations. Her husband Mike (Tom Everett Scott), their daughter Amelia (Olive Petrucci) and her divorced parents (Kathy Baker and Martin Mull) are also at the center of the comedy. I’m Sorry’s third season has been greenlit for ten episodes that will air on truTV in 2020.

Savage said: “I am so, so thrilled to have another season to prove wrong the theory that just because you are a mom, you are not allowed to find buttholes funny. #godswork”

Tacoma FD, a scripted comedy series from co-creators and stars Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme, is set in a firehouse in a rainy city that has few fires to put out. To keep themselves entertained, the firefighters take part in creative competitions, friendly rivalries and head out on strange emergency calls. In addition to Heffernan and Lemme, the series stars Eugene Cordero, Marcus Henderson, Gabriel Hogan and Hassie Harrison. Tacoma FD’s 13-episode second season order will go into pre-production later this year and is slated for release in 2020.

Lemme and Heffernan said: “While we realize this should be a time for rejoicing, our first thought is: ‘Damn, guess we gotta grow those mustaches back.’”
