TORONTO: Tricon Films & Television, along with Shark Teeth Films, has scored a slot on CBBC’s My Toons in the U.K. for the series Smallfoot, currently in development.

The action-comedy is a combination of CGI and live action. The show was created by Adrian Carter and Tom Mudd at Shark Teeth Films. Smallfoot is based on the comedic adventures of two miniature friends in the big city. Smallfoot is a miniature Sasquatch. He befriends a resourceful mouse named Larry, whose blabbermouth gets the pair into trouble all the time.

“The My Toons site is a great place to try out new shows, new talent and new formats which hopefully will benefit the audience, the producer and the broadcaster,” said Jon Rutherford, the VP of international sales and acquisitions at Tricon Films & Television.

Smallfoot is a distinctive show with a unique, completely original style of production,” said Mudd, producer of Smallfoot. “Through on-camera techniques and digital post wizardy, the characters have life and a deep sparkle of intelligence. They feel like real creatures doing hilarious things.”
