TNT Series Scores Global Pickups

LOS ANGELES, October 12: The upcoming TNT series Leverage, starring Timothy Hutton and directed by Independence
Day
producer Dean Devlin, has achieved
deals in more than 20 markets, via distributor Voltage Pictures.

Produced by Devlin through his Electric Entertainment
banner, Leverage has a 13-episode order
from TNT, which is set to launch the series December 7, airing Tuesdays at 9
p.m.

Voltage Pictures, headed up by Nicolas Chartier, has
clinched agreements with Vox for Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Screen One
for Iceland; DBS for Israel; Dallangelo and La Sete for Italy; AXN for
Portugal, Spain, Africa and Pan-Asia; Viasat for Finland and Sweden; EEAP for
Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia and Yugoslavia;
Grandview for Turkey; Movie-Eye for Japan; Foxtel for Australia; and Sky NZ for
New Zealand. Voltage is also currently in negotiations for France and the U.K.,
among other markets.

The heist series follows a team of thieves, hackers and
grifters who join forces to take revenge against those who use power and wealth
to victimize others. Devlin (producer of Independence Day, The Patriot, The
Librarian
trilogy) makes his directorial
debut on the pilot, which was written by John Rogers (Transformers) and Chris Downey (The King of Queens).
