TLC to Air The Kennedys Biopic

PARIS: France Télévisions Distribution has sold the U.S. premiere rights to the landmark documentary The Kennedys: The End of Innocence to TLC, which will air a reversion in early 2011.

2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of president John F. Kennedy. The new 97-minute documentary features exclusive archives, including home movies, from the Kennedy family. The Kennedys: The End of Innocence is one of the flagship programs for France Télévisions this year.

“After the worldwide success of Apocalypse last year, France Télévisions Distribution reaffirms its position as a leader in high-quality international content for broadcasters, global networks, home video distributors and new digital platforms,” said Nathalie Bobineau, the senior VP of international distribution at France Télévisions Distribution.

The story of the Kennedys has long captured the attention of people around the world," added Rita Mullin, the VP of development at TLC. "TLC looks forward to sharing this compelling documentary of an epic American family with our audience.”
