NEW YORK: Time Warner Cable is to offer its digital costumers two new films, Trespass and Margin Call, the same day as their theatrical releases, and a third, Melancholia, before it hits theaters.

Trespass, starring Nicholas Cage and Nicole Kidman, will be offered in standard and high definition via Time Warner Cable’s VOD service starting today. The movie follows as a group of criminals invade the mansion of the Miller family, while Kyle Miller (Cage) must battle his personal demons before saving his wife and daughter.

Also available through the cable service’s VOD offerings, Margin Call is set in the high-stakes world of the financial industry. It watches as an entry-level analyst unlocks information that could prove the firm’s downfall. The cast includes Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany and Demi Moore. The film will be available via Time Warner on October 21, the same day it hits theaters.

Melancholia, in which Kirsten Dunst plays a girl whose wedding descends into chaos as a new planet comes closer to earth, is now available via Time Warner Cable’s Movies on Demand, ahead of its November 11 theatrical release. The film also stars Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Alexander Skarsgard.
