The Oprah Winfrey Show Now Available in Spanish

CHICAGO, October 21:
Through the use of Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) and closed-captioning, The
Oprah Winfrey Show
is available in
Spanish in a number of U.S. Hispanic television markets, including Miami and
Los Angeles.

Other cities offering Oprah
in Spanish are New York, Houston,
Dallas and Chicago, with additional cities to be added throughout the 2008-2009
season. The Spanish-language SAP and closed-captioning for The Oprah Winfrey
Show
are sponsored by Target.

be providing the Spanish-language community with an opportunity to become part
of the Oprah show viewing
family," said Harpo Productions’ president, Tim Bennett. "We'll be
able to reach this audience more directly with programming that is relevant,
informative and entertaining."
