The N Rolls Out Degrassi Specials

NEW YORK, February 27: The
N will premiere two new specials for its teen Degrassi franchise: Degrassi in Kenya and Degrassi Spring Break.

The half-hour documentary Degrassi
in Kenya
features the seven cast
members on a personal trip to Kenya to build a children’s school house for a
local impoverished community. The actors speak candidly about the issues
African children face and what people can do to make a difference. Degrassi
in Kenya
will premiere on The N on
March 14 at 8 p.m.

Following on April 4, The
N will debut Degrassi Spring Break at
8 p.m. In the hour-long movie, the teen cast takes to the road for a fun-filled
adventure with plenty of break ups, make ups and mayhem.

The series is currently in
its seventh season on The N, with original episodes rolling out every Friday at
8 p.m. Degrassi: The Next Generation, produced by Epitome Pictures in association with CTV, was recently nominated for its second GLAAD Award
in the category of Outstanding Drama Series.

"We are so proud of
our Degrassi talent who shed
light on the importance and lack of education in Africa while bringing
sensitive subject matter, tolerance and laughter to thousands of fans around
the country," said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, the senior VP and general
manager for The N.
