The Bold and the Beautiful Celebrates Anniversary

LOS ANGELES: On March 23, the hit soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful will have been on air on CBS Television Network for 22 years.

Set against the backdrop of the Los Angeles fashion industry, The Bold and the Beautiful was created by the late daytime drama legend William J. Bell and his wife, Lee Phillip Bell. The show is currently written and executive produced by Lee’s son, Bradley P. Bell.

"Twenty-two years on television has been an extraordinary collaborative accomplishment," commented Bell. "The show has now taped over 5,500 episodes and is viewed in more than 100 countries around the world. That is a testament to our remarkable cast, production crew, writers and staff, and of course to CBS, who continues to give us their unwavering support. My greatest thanks goes out to our viewers, for their continued loyalty and devotion."

The Bold and the Beautiful boasts four original cast members who remain integral parts of the story structure. The show airs weekdays on CBS, and has been the only daytime drama to simulcast in Spanish via SAP (Secondary Audio Program) technology.
