The Africa Channel Adds Two Originals to HD Lineup

LOS ANGELES: The August lineup of The Africa Channel will feature two new original productions, Between the Lines and Africa Laughs, both in HD.

Between the Lines features Cameroonian-American author Sarah Culberson as host. The series spotlights Africa’s literary giants. The Africa Channel launches the show on August 1 at 9 p.m. with a preview special, ahead of it taking on its regular time slot, Thursdays at 9 p.m. with a special encore broadcast Saturdays at 6 p.m.

The new stand-up comedy series Africa Laughs is hosted by comedian Seyi Brown. The show kicks off with a preview special on August 1 at 8 p.m. It then takes a regular time slot Wednesdays at 9 p.m., with encore broadcasts on Saturdays at 10 p.m. Each episode focuses on a single African comedian and features material recorded during a day in the life with the comedian and a stand-up performance recorded in front of a live audience at the Ha Ha Comedy Club in North Hollywood, California.
