Temple Street, Family Channel Producing New Youth Series

TORONTO: Temple Street Productions and Family Channel in Canada have begun principal photography on Angel on Campus, with production continuing throughout the summer in Toronto.

The series was created by Frank van Keekan (Kids in the HallMad About You), who also serves as executive producer. Angel on Campus is a 13-episode sitcom about a teenage odd couple: angel-in-training Porter Jackson and Carl Montclaire, a high-school student who has bad luck. Jackson has been sent to earth to earn his wings, and his first assignment is to transform down-on-his-luck Montclaire into the most popular kid in school. The cast includes Demetrius Joyette (The Latest Buzz) as Jackson and Dylan Everett (Booky’s Crush) as Montclaire.

"Angel on Campus is a very funny series with hilarious plots and some outrageous characters," said David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, the executive producers and co-presidents of Temple Street Productions. "We think it will really resonate with tweens and teens and get them laughing out loud."

"Family Channel is excited to be working with Temple Street Productions on this original comedy series," added Kevin Wright, the senior VP of programming of Astral Television Networks. "Angel on Campus presents a fresh concept and a unique perspective on the teenage experience that will be a great fit for our service."
