Outright Takes New Japanese Game Shows

LONDON: Five new game-show formats from TV Asahi of Japan have been added to the catalogue of Outright Distribution.

The shows are Pressure Study, Pressure Relay, Cooking in a Foreign Language, Survival Web Search and Right Turn Only. Pressure Study involves teams of ten people answering both easy and hard questions from their school days, with prizes for the winners. Cooking in a Foreign Language revolves around two teams struggling to create what should be a straightforward dish but having to work from shopping lists and recipes in a language they barely understand. Survival Web Search involves four teams together all trying to narrow down the number of results in Internet search engines by guessing new keywords in each round but at the same time avoiding "no results found" as that means they are out of the game. Right Turn Only follows contestants in a driving competition who are only allowed to take right turns.

Chris Bonney, the CEO of Outright Distribution, said: "Our relationship with TV Asahi goes back many successful years. We are really looking forward to being able to sell these new formats which are every bit as funny and exciting as Ranking the Stars and Fidelity Test."
