Televisa Novela Delivers for Univision

MIAMI: The finale of the hit prime-time Televisa production Woman of Steel (Soy Tu Dueña) pulled in 9.4 million viewers for Univision, with an average audience of 5.4 million total viewers since its June premiere.

Aired as part of the prime-time novela block on Univision, Woman of Steel helped the channel become the number one broadcast network in its time period, as well as for the entire night (8 p.m. to 11 p.m.) among adults 18 to 49, adults 18 to 34, men and women 18 to 49, men and women 18 to 34 and persons 12 to 34. The program has become the most watched Spanish-language novela in U.S. television history.

“We are extremely proud of the success of Soy Tu Dueña and the historic imprint it has left in the television industry in the U.S.,” said Luis Fernández, the president of entertainment for Univision Network and of Univision Studios. “This is a great example of the ongoing popularity of the novela genre among U.S. viewers of all ages and the power and reach of Univision’s prime-time lineup.”
