Telemundo’s Victoria Delivers in Spain

MIAMI, October 29: Victoria, a telenovela
from Telemundo Internacional
that follows a middle-aged woman who finds love with a much younger man, has been notching up successful ratings
in Spain, scoring its highest share yet, 25.3 percent, on TVE during the second
week of October.

On October 28, Victoria drew in 1,717,000 viewers and
an 18.7- percent market share, beating out Gran
Germano
(on Telecinco),
which scored 18.6 percent, and Tal Cual Lo Contamos (on Antena 3), drawing in 10.3 percent. The telenovela
is the story of a middle-aged woman who discovers that her husband is having an
affair with a younger woman. She unexpectedly meets Jeronimo,
a younger man, who awakens her feelings for a second chance at love.

“We are extremely pleased
with the results achieved by Victoria
in Spain, particularly because it is up against a reality show that has been a
Spanish audience favorite during all of its seasons,” said Karina Etchison, Telemundo Internacional’s VP of sales for Europe, Africa and the
Middle East. “However, our product has managed to come ahead with the
controversial story of a contemporary woman.”
