Telefe Signs Up for ITV Worldwide Quiz Format

LONDON, July 8: An Argentine version of ITV Worldwide’s
quiz-show format The Rich List will
debut in prime time on Telefe this month.

The Rich List tests
the knowledge of teams of strangers as they compete to win cash. The teams bid
upwards against each other to predict how many examples of a particular subject
they can list on topics ranging from U.S. presidents to countries in Europe to
an actor’s films. If they fail to reach the number of answers predicted, the
other team wins.

The show, which has already been sold to 12
territories—including Spain, Australia, Russia, the U.S., U.K. and
Germany—will air later this month once a week on the Susana Gimenez
Show. The Rich List
format was developed
and created by 12 Yard Productions, the format production company recently
acquired by ITV.

Julián Rodríguez Montero, the acquisitions manager at
Telefe, said: “The Rich List is exactly
the sort of entertainment format that we were looking for. We know loyal
viewers of the Susana Gimenez Show
will enjoy this exciting new addition to the series.”
