At MIPCOM today, AVOD service Tubi announced plans to expand to the U.K. early next year and unveiled Tubi Kids, which launches this month with some 1,200 titles.

Tubi is set to bring its free AVOD service with thousands of film and television titles to Australia.

MIPCOM 2019, which will be held under the theme The Streaming Offensive, has confirmed as keynote speakers Amazon Studios' James Farrell, Twitter’s Kay M. Madati and Tubi's Farhad Massoudi and Adam Lewinson.

The streaming service Tubi has inked a deal with Lionsgate that makes it the only AVOD platform to carry Anger Management, a sitcom starring Charlie Sheen.

Tubi has signed an agreement with NBCUniversal that will bring nearly 400 television episodes and movies to the AVOD platform.

On the heels of record growth in 2018, the AVOD platform Tubi, currently available in the U.S. and Canada, is planning to launch in additional markets internationally and is looking to ramp up its content acquisitions.
