Revenues at NBCUniversal in the fourth quarter rose by almost 6 percent to reach $9.9 billion, while parent company Comcast Corporation was stable at $30.6 billion, with a net income that slipped by 1.1 percent to $3 billion.

In the absence of the Olympics and the Super Bowl, video customer losses and an impairment charge from its Sky business, Comcast Corporation reported a Q3 net loss of $4.6 billion on revenues of $29.8 billion, a slight year-on-year decline, with an adjusted net income of $4.2 billion, a 4.5 percent gain.

Revenues at NBCUniversal in the third quarter rose by 57.9 percent to $10 billion, driven by its coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.

Gains at NBCUniversal helped drive a 5-percent increase in third-quarter revenues at Comcast Corporation, with net profit up 9.3 percent.

PHILADELPHIA/NEW YORK: Fourth-quarter revenues at Comcast saw a 9.2-percent increase, while NBCUniversal's were up 13 percent, with gains at its cable, theme parks and broadcast TV segments.
