SVP & GM Appointed for CBS Interactive Entertainment

SAN FRANCISCO: CBS Interactive has hired Marc DeBevoise as senior VP and general manager for its entertainment division, responsible for sites such as CBS.com, TV.com and Clicker.com.

DeBevoise will oversee the digital content distribution strategies and the development of both original and show-based digital content, applications and games. DeBevoise was previously with the premium pay-TV channel Starz, responsible for the overall digital strategy and digital initiatives. Prior to Starz, he was with NBCUniversal, in various roles within digital media and business development.

"Marc’s knowledge of the digital entertainment industry, in addition to his experience developing, producing and distributing popular, award-winning content for the web, make him a great asset to both CBS Interactive and CBS," said Jim Lanzone, the president pf CBS Interactive.  "CBSi Entertainment encompasses leading online destinations, distribution and original content development, and there is no one better suited than Marc to take this division into the future."
