Susanna Dinnage, who announced in November that she would be leaving her post at Discovery to become chief executive for the Premier League, has pulled out of the move.

Dinnage was set to succeed Richard Scudamore early this year but has now decided not to leave Discovery, where she most recently held the role of global president of Animal Planet.

“Despite her commitment to the Premier League in early November, Susanna Dinnage has now advised the nominations committee that she will not be taking up the position of chief executive,” the league said. “The committee has reconvened its search and is talking to candidates. There will be no further comment until an appointment is made.”
