Strix Inks Distribution Deal with Susamuru

STOCKHOLM, January 11:
Strix Television has secured the distribution rights for two formats from
Finnish independent producer Susamuru: There’s a Song in Every Star and Quality Time.

The half-hour prime-time
talent format There’s a Song in Every Star challenges non-professional A-list celebrities to
make a hit song in only one day, together with a talent show host. The show
aired on Sub TV in 2007.

The trivia-based game show
Quality Time pairs together
couples—friends, family, spouses or others—in a race against time.
The show aired on YLE 2 and has already been commissioned for a second season.

Robert Aschberg, the CEO
of Strix Television, said: “The Susamuru format There’s a Song in Every Star has great international potential and we look
forward to representing it. The format, as well as Quality Time, complements the Strix catalogue and since we have
a well-developed sales department and a fruitful relationship with Susamuru
this further implements our wish to work closer together.”

Kari Voutila, the managing
director for Susamuru, added: “Co-operation with Strix has been, is and will be
a huge opportunity to indies like Susamuru. Strix is a marvelous partner for us
at least in three levels—a source for successful formats into the Finnish
market, a distributor with excellent track record to our own formats and an
innovative partner to create also new ideas together in long run.”
