Strawberry
Shortcake
, which has
generated over $2 billion in global retail sales (cumulatively from 2003 to
2007), has over 300 licensees worldwide and is available at every major U.S.
retailer. Additional product lines include greeting cards, apparel,
accessories, domestics, jewelry, activity, mobile, novelty and more, as well as
product extensions under the Strawberry Shortcake Baby and Classic programs.

STRATEGY
FOR ROLLOUT:
Plans for
2008 include building on the gains made this year, which saw the release of new
product lines, multiple DVD releases, a theatrical feature, books and music, a
U.S. broadcast network debut and continued online growth: the Strawberry
Shortcake
website,
www.strawberryshortcake.com, averages 200,000 unique visitors per month while
growing 40 percent month over month.

DIC and
American Greetings Properties will continue to work with partners to build the Strawberry
Shortcake
franchise
with new brand themes (dance, western, music, fairytale and Hollywood glamour),
content, categories and distribution channels in development through 2010.

Playmates will
continue to roll out new merchandise, as well as support the brand with
national advertising campaigns. Penguin Putnam had 11 new books in release this
year, and to date has sold more than 11 million books from the Strawberry
Shortcake
publishing
program. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment recently released Let’s
Dance
and eight new
DVD titles are planned for 2008 and 2009.
